Auckland, New Zealand – Netball in the north-west is set for an exciting new chapter, with Kaipara Netball Centre officially joining Netball Waitākere as a Satellite Centre.

Under the new arrangement, Kaipara Netball Centre will be operated and governed by Netball Waitākere Incorporated, strengthening pathways, sustainability, and access to development opportunities across the wider region. Importantly, Kaipara will continue to maintain its own identity, community presence, and local pride.

This partnership reflects a shared commitment to growing participation, supporting volunteers, and providing quality experiences for players, coaches, umpires and whānau throughout the Kaipara district.

By becoming a Satellite Centre, Kaipara Netball will benefit from:

• Enhanced governance and operational support

• Stronger player development and representative pathways

• Shared resources and capability building

• Increased alignment with regional and national netball strategies

At the same time, the essence of Kaipara Netball — its people, culture, and community connections — will remain at the heart of its delivery.
