Summer League 2021/2022 - UPDATE

Thank you to everyone for registering to play summer league with Netball Waitakere for the 2022 season.

Key notes about a full 2022 summer league competition –

  • Start date: Tuesday 18th January
  • End Date: Tuesday 22nd March
  • 10 weeks for Seniors
  • 7 weeks for Juniors & Intermediate
  • There will be NO grading
  • Grades will be made up of 6 teams (some may differ dependant on registration numbers)
  • Seniors: There will be TWO rounds of 5 matches. Between rounds, there will be an automatic promotion and relegation between the top/bottom two teams of each grade.
  • The fifth game of the second round will be the final game of the season and the top ranked team of each grade will win their grades. There will be no playoffs.
  • ALL participants (except U12's) must be fully vaccinated. Vaccine passports will be scanned.

Fees: Thank you to all those who have paid their fees already. As we are able to continue with a 10 week competition structure, fees will remain the same for seniors and juniors. Intermediate fees will decrease from $300 to $250. If you have already paid your fees, please contact reception@netballwaitakere.co.nz for the $50 refund.


If this competition structure does not work for your team and you wish to withdraw, please let me know by Dec 17th. We will be opening registrations again until Nov 19th.

In the meantime, please get vaccinated and please encourage those around you to do so too! We can’t wait to get back into netball!

Please make sure that the name and email address provided on the registration form are the correct contact details of the person that you want all correspondence to go to - this information is crucial, as if there is any defaults or changes, we must be able to contact you.

GRADE NUMBERS

Please understand that if the grade you select does not have enough registrants, Netball Waitakere may have to merge your grade with another grade OR your grade will be removed from the competition, any paid fees will be returned.

FEES

GAME REQUESTS AND DEFERRALS

There will be no game deferrals considered for summer league. Time requests may only be made for exceptional circumstances, the approval of your rquest will be made at the discretion of NW.
