Next-Gen Netball Programme:

Our Next Gen Programme is designed for driven Year 7 and Year 8 players who are ready to take the next step in their netball journey. This development opportunity focuses on building strong technical skills, advanced game understanding, and the confidence to perform at a higher level, all under the guidance of experienced coaches. A muster day will be held before training begins, giving players a chance to get on court, meet the coaches, and be placed in the right training environment. If you’re passionate about netball, eager to improve, and aiming for future representative opportunities, the Next Gen Programme is where your journey begins.

The focus of this programme is to:

• Increase the skill set and understanding of the game.
• Improve knowledge across a range of technical and tactical components to further develoment across all positions. 
• Work with coaches who have significant experience in the intermediate grades
• Using the skills learnt in training and use them in practice at the festival days.
• Help prepare athletes who are wanting to progress into our representative programme, once eligible from Year 9 onwards.

Where: Netball Waitākere, indoor courts

When: Friday afternoons, from 4.30pm to 6pm

Muster date: May 1st 2026

Dates: Friday 8th May - Friday 12th June 2026

Festival Dates: 

- Sunday 17th May 2026 @ Netball Waitākere

- Sunday 31st May 2026 @ Howick/Pakuranga Netball Centre*

- Sunday 14th June 2026 @ Netball North Harbour*
