Sai Bedekar- Elected
Sai is a self-employed professional with 24 years of International and local experience in Business Management and Occupational Health and Safety. As a Director for two small business enterprises in New Zealand, Sai has successfully built strong relationships along with a track record of selling innovative and creative ideas for design, print, health and safety and photography. In her spare time Sai works as a Photographer beautifully capturing weddings, corporate events and concerts.
Sai has significant organisational skills and a passion for Sports and Recreation. She has worked as an Executive Committee member for community and sports organisations within Auckland region.
Sai has been a parent and supporter of netball. Sai’s daughter plays netball at Netball Waitakere on Saturday mornings and can be found on the sidelines cheering her school and club teams.
Julie-Ann Thumath- Appointed
Julie-Ann was appointed to the Netball Waitakere Board in 2020. She grew up in West Auckland playing at Te Pai courts in school and social teams. She has worked at Henderson Intermediate since 1999. During this time she has co-ordinated, coached and managed school teams. She is currently the Deputy Principal at Henderson Intermediate and the Board of Trustees Chair at Henderson North Primary. She is passionate about our youth, especially keeping them active, and looks forward to being able to contribute to growing Netball Waitākere.
Venus Rangi- Appointed
Venus has spent many years as a parent, supporter, coach, manager and fan of netball. She has watched her daughters compete at various levels in many sports but predominantly netball where she has built many long lasting relationships. She has spent many years working in the community sport sector initiating many community capability and youth development opportunities across the sport arena. Currently, Venus is working in community development across the population growth programme in Auckland. She is looking forward to the opportunity to support our centre to be the centre of choice for all West Auckland players, whanau and volunteers.
